Bingham Research Team Awards

Bingham research team awards are given at the end of each year to recognize team members for outstanding effort and accomplishments. Winners get their photo on this web page and have the privilege of proudly displaying their award trophy in their office for the entire year. Congratulations, award winners!


CLEAN AND SAFE AWARD
This award is given to a team member who shows a strong commitment to safety and/or who who works hard to keep laboratory and field spaces neat and clean.  At the end of each year, the recipient for that year chooses someone to be the recipient for the following year.

2016 Winner: Huy Tran, for preparing safety standard operating procedures well done and on time, and Trang Tran, for keeping everything in the microbalance lab area clean and neat and well-stocked.
2017 Winner: Erik Hacking, for putting safety first on field measurement campaigns, and Trevor O'Neil, for doing lots of deep cleaning and organizing in the high bay and labs.
2018 Winner: Makenzie Holmes, for staying organized and on top of everything with the GC/MS canister analysis system.

GREAT PERSON THAT WE APPRECIATE AWARD
This award is given to a team member who has done work that is above and beyond what is normally expected, and that has really helped our team succeed.  At the end of each year, the recipient for that year chooses someone to be the recipient for the following year.

2018 Winner: Huy Tran, for his work to develop an automated remote canister and DNPH cartridge sampling system and for getting us ready to take to the skies with our new drone.

PUBLICATIONS AWARD
This award is given to the team member with the most publication "points" for the year.  Points for the award are calculated as follows: each first-author publication is given two points, and each co-author publication is given one point.  

2016 Winner: Seth Lyman.
2017 Winner: Marc Mansfield
2018 Winner: Marc Mansfield.  Way to go, Marc!
